Tottenham reject PSG loan bid for Dele Alli

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur have rejected a £3m loan bid submitted for star midfielder Dele Alli by French champions Paris Saint-Germain.

Alli has been with Tottenham since 2015, having arrived from MK Dons. The midfielder became an instant hit at the club and has been an indispensable part of the team up until this point.

This season, however, Alli has found himself out of Jose Mourinho’s plans. Till date, Alli has made just three appearances this season, racking up less than 200 minutes. In fact, the England international hasn’t been part of the matchday squad for a number of games.

This had led to speculations over his future at the club, with French champions PSG taking a keen interest in his situation. And as per the latest update from the Daily Mail Les Parisiens have launched a loan bid worth £3m for the 24-year-old’s services.

However, the report adds that Tottenham immediately rejected the offer and now, Alli will stay put at the club and fight for his place in the starting XI.

Alli came on as a half-time substitute on Thursday night against Maccabi Haifa and scored the seventh goal for Tottenham, dispatching a penalty that he had won.

While the midfielder hasn’t been seen regularly in the matchday squad, Mourinho has praised Alli’s attitude in training. And having rejected PSG’s offer for the Englishman, coupled with his performance earlier in the week, he could be set for more opportunities in the coming weeks.
