Danny Rose could leave Tottenham Hotspur to join Middlesborough on loan
According to Football Insider (h/t Football.london), Tottenham Hotspur star Danny Rose could join Championship side Middlesborough on loan.
The 30-year-old is out of favour at Spurs and was not even given a squad number this season. In fact, Rose has not played a single minute for Tottenham this season.
With the English domestic window set to run until October 16, the Spurs defender still has time to make a move away to the lower leagues.
He could be offered the opportunity to do just that, with Neil Warnock’s Middlesborough a potential destination. Rose is in the final year of his contract and Tottenham are willing to loan or sell him. With the deadline on Friday, time is running out for both clubs to reach an agreement.
The Englishman looked to be on his way to Genoa earlier this summer. However, that move broke down and he remained at Tottenham. Rose’s career at Spurs looks to be over and moving on could be the best solution for all parties.
Rose has seen his value at Spurs decline over the last two seasons. The falling out with Jose Mourinho last November did little to improve matters.
The likes of Davies, Sergio Reguilon, and Dennis Cirkin are all ahead of Rose in the pecking order at Spurs. He has also been axed from the club’s 25-man squad for the UEFA Europa League group stages.

Rose joined Tottenham from Leeds United in 2007 and has made 214 appearances for the club, scoring 10 goals and 29 assists. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Unfortunately, his journey as a Spurs player looks to be coming to a rather unceremonious end.
