Tottenham Hotspur target Arkadiusz Milik to wait until January to secure Napoli exit
According to Sportofakty.pl (h/t Football.london), Arkadiusz Milik, who was linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, is ready to wait until January to quit Napoli.
The Polish international was among a number of strikers linked with Spurs over the summer. The North Londoners were keen to bring in a dependable backup to ace striker Harry Kane.
The 26-year-old was seen as a legitimate option. However, Spurs instead secured Carlos Vinicius on a season-long loan from Benfica.
Milik is left in a rather unfortunate position at Napoli. He has been omitted from Gennaro Gattuso’s squad for the season. The striker’s contract is set to expire next summer.
With Vinicius already at Spurs, it is fair to assume that rumours regarding Milik will be on the lowdown, at least for now. Vinicius arrived at Spurs having built a fearsome reputation for himself in Portugal. A clinical striker, he finished last season as the Portuguese Primeira Liga’s top scorer.
In some ways, Milik’s situation can work out in our favour. If Vinicius fails to hit the ground running, we could turn our attention so signing Milk next summer for free.
Obtaining such an experienced frontman on a Bosman would be a shrewd piece of business and will help us build strength in depth.
Tottenham will, however, face competition from the likes of Juventus, Roma, Everton, and Fiorentina for his signature.

For now, our attention should be on getting the best out of Vinicius. It will not hurt to keep tabs on Milik though, provided the need arises next summer.
