Jose Mourinho has some grand plans for Tottenham next season
Tottenham manager Jose Mourinho is planning to splurge big next summer window, according to reports (h/t Football.london).
The Portuguese manager landed several names in this summer window with Sergio Reguilon, Matt Doherty and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg all joining us. Gareth Bale was a big name who re-signed for us after joining on loan from Real Madrid, and it was a decent enough transfer window for us.
However, the boss wants two midfielders and a striker in his plans for next summer. The report claims that Eduardo Camavinga, Marcelo Brozovic and Wout Weghorst are the targets for Spurs.
Big plans for Spurs
Signing the trio could end up costing Spurs around €140million (h/t Football.london). Brozovic plays for Inter Milan and he could be available for €40m. He has fallen down the pecking order at the Serie A club.
Camavinga would be the most expensive player from the trio, thanks to his performances for Rennes. The French youngster also recently played for the national side and could cost Mourinho €60m (h/t Football.london).
Weghorst has done well with Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga and the report claims he was a target for Spurs before we landed Carlos Vinicius.
The Dutch striker told Kicker (h/t Football.london) he was keen on joining Spurs and would be worth €40m as well. These are grand plans for the club and it will be interesting to see if we make a move for the trio. Camavinga is the biggest name in this and the 17-year-old has a bright future ahead of him.
Weghorst would provide competition and cover for Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min, while Brozovic is an experienced midfielder who would slot into the team nicely.
Tottenham left it late with a few signings this summer and we are yet to see some the best of some of our signings.
