Dele Alli sends a message to Tottenham Hotspur fans after Europa League cameo
Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli has posted a message on social media following his cameo in the Europa League.
The 24-year-old has found opportunities hard to come by this season. So far, he has made just five appearances, three of which have come off the bench.
His fall in the pecking order prompted speculation regarding his future at the club. Despite being linked to the likes of PSG, he has stayed put.
Alli came off the bench for the final half-hour of our Europa League opener against LASK. A comfortable outing for Spurs, Alli almost got his name on the scoresheet with 15 minutes left.
Unfortunately, he was thwarted by the opposition keeper. His search for his second goal of the season goes on. His sole strike this season came against Maccabi Haifa in the 7-2 thrashing.
Soon after the match, Alli posted a photo of himself on Instagram. It relayed the message that he is grateful for the opportunity to do what he loves.
Hopefully, he will continue to make the most of his opportunities on the pitch. While his future at Spurs is debatable, one thing that can swing it in his favour is good performances on the pitch.
