Tanguy Ndombele praises the positive impact Gareth Bale has had at Tottenham Hotspur
According to The Mirror, Tanguy Ndombele has praised the impact Gareth Bale has had at Tottenham Hotspur since his return this summer.
The Welsh winger returned to Spurs after seven years at Real Madrid. While he is yet to hit his stride on the pitch, he has had a much bigger impact off it.
“He’s a really great guy and he’s certainly trying to speak with everybody.”
Ndombele meanwhile has not spoken much to Bale. A major reason for this is the Frenchman’s lack of fluency in English.
“I haven’t spoken an awful lot with Gareth because my English still isn’t great.”
One of the best players in the world, Bale can contribute much to our effort this season. With the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min also impressing, adding Bale to the mix will give us a formidable attack.
As a player who has won some of world football’s most prestigious titles, Ndombele believes the experience will prove invaluable to the Spurs squad.
“It has really helped for the team to have someone with his experience having played at Real Madrid and won four Champions Leagues like he has.”
Jose Mourinho recently admitted that Bale may not be at the level he was during his previous stint at the club. While that may prove to be the case, the 31-year-old also has a much better team around him today than in the past.
Having to not shoulder the burden of expectations could do him well during his second coming.
