As reported by the Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier has claimed that Jose Mourinho’s winning mentality and single-minded attitude is impacting the players in a huge way.

The Portuguese tactician took over the reins at Tottenham in November last year and faced some early turbulence with injuries to key players hampering him in his debut season.

However, after a highly successful summer transfer window, Tottenham are looking the part under Mourinho. Indeed, Spurs have put on some eye-catching performances this season, the biggest highlight being the 6-1 mauling of Manchester United at Old Trafford.

And Dier, who has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of Mourinho’s time at Tottenham, has hailed the manager’s mentality which has instilled a strong belief within the players that they can win every match. (h/t Mirror)

“We’re going into every game, no matter the competition believing we can win. That’s a great feeling and it’s a great feeling to have. That’s the objective and the manager sets that tone from above.”

Dier further added that the players were taking it one game after another amidst talks of a potential title tilt. He insisted that the manager’s and the team’s focus is on winning every game in every competition. (h/t Mirror)
