Tanguy Ndombele opens up on relationship with Spurs boss Jose Mourinho
Speaking on his YouTube channel (h/t Football.london), Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele has claimed that he shares a good relationship with manager Jose Mourinho after ‘difficult moments’ last season.
The 23-year-old Ndombele arrived at Tottenham in the summer of 2019, in a club-record deal. However, the Frenchman endured a difficult debut campaign in England. Injuries and lack of fitness were a problem for the midfielder, who was constantly criticised in the media by manager Jose Mourinho.
Things got bad to such an extent that there were strong speculations that Ndombele could be sold this past summer. The midfielder himself admitted that he considered leaving the club but decided against it and has grown into a first-team regular this season. (h/t Football.london)
And speaking of his equation with the Portuguese tactician, Ndombele claimed that the pair had put behind the tough moments and are trying their best to lead the team to success. (h/t Football.london)
“I’ve got a good relationship with the coach. We speak together, we laugh together. And the more difficult moments last season we’ve left behind us We’re now both trying our hardest to help the team.”
Speaking on his current situation, the French international admitted that he had adjusted better to life at the club and was working much harder in training. (h/t Football.london)
“Now I feel like I’m really settling in better. And I really hope that I’m on the right track for the future.”
