Tanguy Ndombele on Barcelona’s radars according to Fabrizio Romano
Speaking on his Here We Go Podcast, reputed journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has claimed that La Liga heavyweights are monitoring Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.
The 23-year-old Frenchman joined Tottenham from Ligue 1 side, Olympique Lyon, in a club-record transfer last year. However, he endured a difficult debut season in England, struggling for game time under Spurs’ boss Jose Mourinho.
But the French international has shown great improvement over the past few months, starting to establish himself as a key member of the side under Jose. Ndombele has featured in ten matches across all competitions so far this term, scoring two goals in the process. (h/t Transfermarkt)
And, it seems like the midfielder’s turnaround of fortunes has alerted Barcelona, who are keeping tabs on him, according to Romano. However, he did add that the Catalans will wait till next summer to make a move for the midfielder.
“Barcelona are considering a move for Ndombele next summer. But for next January, Tottenham fans can be sure he is not going anywhere.”
It is not the first time that Barcelona have cast admiring glances towards Ndombele. The Blaugrana had been credited with an interest in the former Lyon midfielder this past summer as well. (h/t Evening Standard)

However, considering that Ndombele is starting to flourish, there is no way Tottenham will sell the midfielder to Barcelona. Especially now that he has sorted things out with Mourinho and is looking like the player the club shelled out the big bucks for.
