Moussa Sissoko has his say on Tanguy Ndombele’s turnaround at Tottenham
As reported by Football.london, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko has praised teammate and compatriot Tanguy Ndombele for turning things around at the club after a difficult first season.
The 23-year-old Ndombele joined Tottenham from French outfit Olympique Lyon last summer in a club-record transfer. However, the midfielder found it difficult to get going in his first season at the club. It did not help matters that the midfielder was hardly picked on a regular basis by manager Jose Mourinho.
So, naturally, after a difficult debut campaign, speculations had been rife that Ndombele was looking to leave the club this past summer. (h/t Football.london)
However, the Frenchman decided to stay put and tough it out. And, the results are there for everyone to see. The 23-year-old has been hugely impressive early into the new season. And Sissoko has hailed his teammate’s current form. (h/t Football.london)
“Of course he had problems but this season he’s showing what he can do. All of the players are happy to have Tanguy in that form.”
The veteran midfielder further elaborated on how the 23-year-old found it difficult to adapt at the club, given that he had moved to a new country and wasn’t speaking English fluently. However, all that has changed now, with Sissoko claiming that Ndombele has settled in well and is happy at the club. (h/t Football.london)
