Gareth Bale returns to Wales national team squad for November fixtures
As reported by the BBC, Tottenham Hotspur superstar Gareth Bale has been called up to the Wales national team squad for their upcoming fixtures against the USA, the Republic of Ireland and Finland.
The 31-year-old wing wizard made a sensational return to Tottenham this past summer, signing on a season-long loan from Real Madrid. However, upon return, Bale was nursing an injury, which meant Tottenham fans had to wait for some time to see his second debut for the club.
For the same reason, Bale was left out of the Wales squad for the last set of fixtures in October. However, back to fitness, Bale has been eased back into action by Spurs’ boss Jose Mourinho. And now, the 31-year-old has earned a recall to the Welsh national team. (h/t BBC)
Wales will be without manager Ryan Giggs for the upcoming matches after he was arrested on suspicion of assault on his partner earlier this week. The team will be managed by his assistant Robert Page. (h/t BBC)
Bale scored the first goal of his second stint with Spurs this past weekend, heading home the winning strike against Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League. And the Wales management will be hoping that he builds on that to lead them to important wins.
