Millwall manager provides injury update on Tottenham loanee Troy Parrott
As reported by the Evening Standard, Millwall manager Gary Rowett has issued an update on the condition of on-loan Tottenham Hotspur striker Troy Parrott.
The 18-year-old Irish striker joined the EFL Championship outfit on loan in the summer transfer window. However, he has endured a frustrating spell so far at the club, having been able to make a solitary appearance which came in the Carabao Cup against Burnley.
Parrott has been sidelined with an ankle injury practically for the entire season. However, there is some positive news regarding the Republic of Ireland international. Millwall manager Rowett has confirmed that the Tottenham ace is closing in on a return to action soon. (h/t Evening Standard)
“When you think about the likes of Troy Parrott and Ken Zohore, you’re hoping they could be the difference in the final third for us. Both have been unavailable, pretty much, for the games. Troy isn’t far off.”
That ought to come as good news for Millwall, considering that their other main striker Kenneth Zohore is set for a prolonged spell on the sidelines. It is being claimed that Parrott could be set for a return post the international break which starts next week. (h/t Evening Standard)

A product of the Tottenham Hotspur youth academy, Troy Parrott is held in the highest of regards within the club. The 18-year-old made his first-team debut for us in September last year and has racked up four appearances till date. However, he is yet to open his goalscoring account in senior football.
Hopefully, he is able to put behind these injury troubles once he returns next month and goes on to have a solid campaign on loan at Millwall.
