Tottenham consider re-signing Christian Eriksen, could swap Dele Alli with Inter Milan

According to a report from Italian publication Calciomercato (h/t Express), Tottenham Hotspur are considering making a sensational swoop for former playmaker Christian Eriksen.

Eriksen spent the majority of his playing career at Tottenham, having joined the club in 2013 from Ajax. But the Danish international departed last January to join Inter Milan in a £24m deal.

However, the midfielder has struggled to perform at the Italian outfit, finding himself out on the bench than on the field more often than not. Given the plethora of options at Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte’s disposal, Eriksen’s future at the club has been called into question. (h/t Express)

And as per the report, Tottenham are eyeing a reunion with the former Ajax man. Spurs tried their best to keep hold of the 28-year-old in the January transfer window earlier this year. And the club might try to bring him back in the upcoming winter transfer window. (h/t Express)

However, due to finances being tight, Tottenham might look to strike a more creative deal with Inter Milan, offering either of Dele Alli or Danny Rose in a potential swap deal. Both Alli and Rose have fallen out of favour at the club under Jose Mourinho and may be allowed to leave in January. (h/t Express)
