Jose Mourinho not getting carried away by Tottenham title talks
As reported by Football.london, Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has insisted that he isn’t getting carried away by talks of a Premier League title tilt from his side.
Tottenham have made a blazing start to the campaign, the highlight of which was the 6-1 thrashing of Manchester United at Old Trafford. Spurs are currently fourth in the league table, having collected 14 points from seven games.
With just two points separating us from league leaders Southampton, a win against West Bromwich Albion on Sunday would see Jose Mourinho & co. move to the top of the standings heading into the international break (if other results go our way).
However, the manager has refused to get dragged into conversations of a title triumph insisting that he has enough experience to not go over the moon this early into the season. (h/t Football.london)
“No no no. I have years of football experience and it is not a couple of victories that put me on the moon and it is not a couple of defeats that send me down to hell. It’s all about balance, taking it match by match, looking for improvement and seeing what happens.”
The Portuguese tactician further added that he expected the team to be in a better position in the Premier League, indicating the standards he is setting for the players. (h/t Football.london)

Despite there being detractors to Mourinho’s appointment, the ex-Real Madrid manager is showing signs of a massive turnaround at the club. Talks of a title challenge might be a tad too premature at this moment but there is no denying that we have been one of the better teams in the league this term.
