Manchester City plan sensational swoop for Tottenham star Harry Kane

According to the Independent, Manchester City are exploring the possibility of making an attempt to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane in the near future.

One of the best strikers in the game currently, Harry Kane has made a sensational start to the 2020/21 campaign. The England captain has been scoring goals in large numbers, while also unleashing his creative abilities, racking up assists galore so far.

In 15 appearances across all competitions, Kane has amassed an astonishing tally of 13 goals and 11 assists already. The 27-year-old also went on to score his 200th goal for Tottenham as well as his 150th Premier League goal recently.

According to the report, Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is the driving force behind the club’s interest in Kane. In fact, it is said that Guardiola name-checked the England skipper as one of the players he wants the club to bring in, prior to signing a new contract with the Mancunians.

With Sergio Aguero in the final year of his contract at City, it is understandable as to why they are casting their glances towards Harry Kane.

However, it is very much unlikely that such a move would take place. Kane had hinted at the possibility of leaving in search of trophies in the past, but under Jose Mourinho, things are taking a turn for the better at Tottenham.

And with Kane playing some of his finest football under the Portuguese, it is hard to fathom why he’d want to leave.
