Arsenal sign former Tottenham Hotspur youngster Reuell Walters
As reported by Football.london, former Tottenham Hotspur starlet Reuell Walters has joined arch-rivals Arsenal where he will be linking up with the Under-16s.
Walters, a right-back by trade, joined the Tottenham youth setup as an under-10s player after a successful trial. The 15-year-old progressed through the ranks at the club’s academy.
But after a successful trial, Walters moved to the Manchester United youth setup last year. However, the youngster stayed for just 12 months in Manchester and is now headed back to London, having signed a deal with Arsenal.
Taking to social media, Walters confirmed the transfer, as he wrote:
“New chapter. New beginning. Thanks to God and everyone who has played a part in my journey so far, especially my mum, dad, sister, family, and friends. Also a very special thank you to everyone at Arsenal for believing in me. Excited to get started!”

Walters becomes the second ex-Tottenham academy man to switch allegiances to Arsenal this year. Earlier in the summer another defender, Jonathan Dinzeyi, swapped the Tottenham reserves for the Gunners. And now, Walters has also followed a similar path, albeit via a short pit stop Manchester United. (h/t Football.london)
