Paul Merson heaps praise on Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane
Speaking on Sky Sports, as reported by Football.london, former Arsenal star Paul Merson has claimed there is no footballer in the world like Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
The 27-year-old England captain has made a scintillating start to the new season, with his ability to score and create goals coming to the fore in a big way under Jose Mourinho.
Kane, along with Son Heung-min, has been the driving force in our exceptional form of late. And Merson, who had questioned whether Kane would flourish under Jose not so long ago, has backtracked his statements and waxed lyrical over the Spurs striker. (h/t Football.london)
“There’s nobody in the world like him. There’s no other player in the world who can be as good as a No 9, and as good as a No 10. I don’t think there ever has.
“Name me one player in the world who can be a No 9, score goals, hold the ball up, be strong, and then go and play No 10, and put 60-yard balls through the eye of a needle, or run at the ball with pace with defenders all around you before picking out a ball to assist.”
Merson also went on to compare Kane’s playmaking abilities to Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne and Barcelona’s talisman Lionel Messi. (h/t Football.london)

While Kane’s standing as one of the best strikers in the world has been well-known, the England international has really shone brightly in his playmaking duties as well this season. Safe to say that working under Mourinho has had a transformative effect on our key man’s game.
