Moussa Sissoko outlines differences between Jose Mourinho and Mauricio Pochettino
Speaking to Stadium Astro, as relayed by Daily Star, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Moussa Sissoko has shed light upon the differences in the approaches of Jose Mourinho and Mauricio Pochettino.
Mourinho took over the reins at the club after Pochettino was given the sack by the club back in November last year. Under the Portuguese tactician, the club has been on an upward trajectory, and are contenders for the title this season after a sensational start.

According to Sissoko, under Poch, there was much lesser stress on defensive solidity, with the focus being on playing with the ball and being more creative. Under Mourinho, however, there is a lot of focus on getting things right at the back. (h/t Daily Star)
“I would say with Mourinho, we are more solid defensively and trying to play on the weakness of the opponent. With Pochettino we were more playing with the ball, more offensive, maybe more creative. But at the same time, we were leaving a lot of space behind us.”
The Frenchman then went on to add that ultimately, the goal for both Pochettino and Mourinho was to win football matches. (h/t Daily Star)
