Eric Dier names Mikel Arteta as the ‘most exciting’ young manager in Europe

As reported by the Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur defender Eric Dier has named under-fire Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta as the most exciting young manager in Europe currently.

Arteta took over the reins at Arsenal last December and enjoyed decent success in the previous season, leading them to an FA Cup triumph, which was followed by FA Community Shield success early this season.

However, since then the Gunners’ have regressed quite a bit and find themselves in the 14th place in the Premier League standings currently. This has led to questions over his methods and suitability in the position. (h/t Mirror)

Dier, though, has some kind words for the Spaniard, as the Spurs defender has named him as the best young manager across Europe. (h/t Mirror)

“They are going through a difficult period but these games it doesn’t really matter who is where in the table. They have a very exciting young manager. The most exciting young manager in Europe for sure. I like his way, the way it seems to be. I think they are in good hands.”

While Arsenal are in the 14th place in the table, Tottenham sit pretty at the top of the Premier League standings. Dier, though, downplayed the importance of the club’s position. (h/t Mirror)

“We know there is a lot of work to do, there is a lot we need to improve on.”
