Jose Mourinho provides injury update on Sergio Reguilon ahead of Arsenal clash

As reported by Football.london, Jose Mourinho has issued a positive injury update on the condition of key man Sergio Reguilon ahead of Tottenham’s clash against Arsenal on Sunday.

The 23-year-old arrived at Tottenham in the summer from La Liga champions Real Madrid and has quickly become a key member of Mourinho’s outfit. In fact, the Spaniard has displaced senior pro Ben Davies as the first-choice left-back at the club.

Reguilon has featured 10 times across all competitions for us, contributing with three assists. However, the Spanish international missed the midweek UEFA Europa League clash against LASK with an injury.

But, Mourinho has provided a positive update on Reguilon’s condition, insisting that the former Real Madrid ace could be ready to return for the North London Derby against Arsenal on Sunday. (h/t Football.london)

“I believe so (he will be fit). He had a little problem. He was not available. It was not like I wanted to protect him. He had a problem but it’s the kind of problem that I can say I expect him to play.”

This should certainly come as positive news considering that there are already concerns over the availability of star striker Harry Kane as well as club captain Hugo Lloris.

Tottenham are currently at the top of the Premier League table, with 21 points from ten games. Arsenal, on the other hand, are languishing in the 14th place in the table. Having Reguilon back for the game would be a timely boost as we look to extend our unbeaten run in the league.
