Tottenham way ahead of rivals Arsenal claims Harry Redknapp

Speaking on talkSPORT (h/t Football.london), former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has claimed that the Lilywhites are miles ahead of local rivals Arsenal in terms of the quality of the squad.

Tottenham Hotspur have made a scintillating start to the 2020/21 campaign, sitting atop the Premier League standings with 21 points from 10 games. Jose Mourinho’s men are on a nine-game unbeaten run in the league, having not lost a match since the opening day defeat to Everton.

Arsenal, on the other hand, are languishing in the 14th place in the table, and are without a win in their last three Premier League matches, which has led to pressure on manager Mikel Arteta.

Given how the teams are positioned currently and the performances this term, Redknapp has opined that the Gunners have been left behind by Tottenham. (h/t Football.london)

“The two squads now, there’s no comparison, for me. I think Tottenham have gone way in front of Arsenal as a team.”

Further elaborating on his point, Redknapp insisted that Tottenham have a very strong squad and are well within a shot of winning the Premier League this term. (h/t Football.london)

“Tottenham have got a good squad. They’ve got strength in depth, they’ve got two internationals for every position, it’s a very different looking Tottenham squad and it’s very strong. I think they’ve got a real chance [of winning the title].”

Having already beaten Manchester City this term and held Chelsea to a draw, Mourinho’s side have already announced their title credentials. A win against Arsenal on Sunday would only serve to further enhance that.
