Jose Mourinho hails Harry Kane and Son Heung-min after Arsenal win
As reported by the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has lavished praise on star forwards Harry Kane and Son Heung-min for the efforts in the win against Arsenal.
Tottenham ran out comfortable 2-0 winners in the first North London Derby of the 2020/21 season with Kane and Son scoring and assisting one goal apiece on Sunday evening.
While the duo’s contribution at the top was critical, both the forwards worked their socks off when not in possession, ensuring that Arsenal hardly got a sniff of our goal.
And, Mourinho, speaking after the game, hailed the duo’s work-rate and efforts in what was a critical win. (h/t Daily Mail)
“(They are) working like animals – I have all the respect for animals, I love animals, don’t get me wrong – but working amazingly hard when the team didn’t have the ball. Harry Kane clearing balls in the box, Sonny in the first 60 minutes as a winger working the balls on (Hector) Bellerin, then working a lot in as centre-backs.
“This is not just about scoring goals and being world-class players, they are great guys, great professionals that give everything for the team.”
