Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho sends warning to players after derby triumph

As reported by Football.london, Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has warned his players against complacency following the 2-0 win over Arsenal.

Tottenham Hotspur moved back to the top of the Premier League standings, following the victory in the first North London derby of the season courtesy goals from Son Heung-min and Harry Kane. Liverpool, though, are level on points with us but behind on goal difference, while Chelsea are just a couple of points behind in third.

Tottenham boss Mourinho, speaking after the game, admitted that the team was in a good moment but warned his players that they can still “lose everywhere”. (h/t Football.london)

“We can lose everywhere in the Premier League, we can go to any team and lose, any team can come here and beat us. Of course, people could expect this last three matches, three or four points or six and lose one.

“We did seven (points), we didn’t concede one goal against phenomenal teams, of course we are in a good moment and the team is in a good place mentally, but nothing changes.”

Given the form that the players are in, talks of a title challenge are inevitable. However, as Mourinho has warned, it is important to not get complacent and stay on our toes, given how close things are at the top of the Premier League table.
