Tottenham considering a move for Brentford winger Marcus Forss
According to a report from Eurosport, Tottenham Hotspur are looking at the possibility of signing 21-year-old winger Marcus Forss from EFL Championship side Brentford.
Forss spent his youth career at the academies of Ruskon Pallo, Turun Weikot and FDS Suomi before joining the West Brom youth ranks in 2012. Having spent five years at the club, the Finnish youngster moved to Brentford 2017.
The 21-year-old made his first-team debut for the Bees in 2018 but has had to bide his time to become a regular in the side.
Forss had a six-month loan stint away at AFC Wimbledon in the first half of the last season. While he featured sparingly for Brentford last term, the forward has become a first-team regular this time out. So far in the 2020/21 campaign, he has featured 17 times across all competitions, scoring seven goals in the process. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Forss made his debut for the Finland national team last month and has since featured three times, scoring a goal as well. His exploits for club and country have put him on the radars of Tottenham Hotspur. (h/t Eurosport)
It is claimed that Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is eyeing a move for the Finnish attacker, who can play as a winger or as a striker, with an eye on the future. However, Tottenham will face competition from the likes of Borussia Dortmund in the race to sign the 21-year-old. (h/t Eurosport)
