Gareth Bale pokes fun at Son Heung-Min in Tottenham Hotspur training
According to The Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale was pictured making fun of teammate Son Heung-Min with a reference to Liverpool keeper Loris Karius.
The incident occurred at Spurs training on Wednesday ahead of our Europa League tie against Royal Antwerp at home. A win will see us leap log the Belgians and end the group stages at the top.
With qualification to the next round already secured, Spurs stars appeared to be testing their abilities in nonfamiliar areas of the pitch. This saw Bale and Son give goalkeeping a go.
The footage shows a powerful shot being fired at Son, who fails to gather it and instead let it fall to his feet. As he is running away, Bale can be heard shouting: “Karius!”
It is a throwback to the 2018 Champions League final, arguably one of the finest moments in Bale’s time at Real Madrid. The Welshman came off the bench to score twice against Liverpool. His second on the night appeared to be a routine save only for Karius to drop into his own net.

The butterfly effect!
The German has not played for Liverpool since, with the Reds replacing him with Alisson becker. Ironically, that decision came to bite us a year later, with the Brazilian playing out of his skin in the Champions League final.
Son saw the funny side of Bale’s reaction and dribbled with the ball before turning around to jokingly confront Bale. While some can construe it to be disrespectful against Karius, we would argue otherwise.
Rather than a public display, the incident was a moment of light humour between two teammates and should be left to just that.
