Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg sends message ahead of Liverpool clash

As reported by the Evening Standard, Tottenham star Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has sent out a warning to Premier League champions Liverpool as the two teams take on each other on Wednesday.

Tottenham dropped two points against Crystal Palace this past weekend as Jeffrey Schlupp cancelled out Harry Kane’s first-half strike. However, with Liverpool also failing to win against Fulham later on Sunday, we were able to hold on to the top spot in the league table.

This sets up things nicely as Jose Mourinho & co. travel north to Anfield later this week. And Hojbjerg has issued a warning to Jurgen Klopp’s side, claiming that Tottenham are in a good moment currently and there is a lot of belief within the squad. (h/t Evening Standard)

“We have the momentum and we cannot let it slip away. The team are in a good moment, we are believing.”

The former Southampton and Bayern Munich midfielder further insisted that it is important that the team sustain this momentum and keep on building on the good start. (h/t Evening Standard)

“At the moment every game is important, the squad is competing well and there is a good momentum and you have to maintain that because if you want to compete with the best, if you want to win every single game it is something you have to sustain and we are doing it, we are performing.”
