RB Leipzig director hints at move for Tottenham target Dominik Szoboszlai
Speaking to Inside Futbol (h/t Football.london), RB Leipzig sporting direct Markus Krosche has admitted that the Bundesliga club could sign Tottenham target Dominik Szoboszlai in January.
The 20-year-old Szoboszlai has been one of the most sought-after stars across Europe heading into the January transfer window. The versatile attacking midfielder has been in sensational form for Austrian outfit RB Salzburg, leading to interest from a host of clubs, including Tottenham and arch-rivals Arsenal. It is claimed that the Hungarian international has a release clause of €25m, which needs to be triggered by December 15th and paid in full by the end of the month. And RB Leipzig are said to be in the driving seat to sign Szoboszlai. (h/t Football.london)
When quizzed about the possibility of signing the 20-year-old from Salzburg, RB Leipzig director Krosche had a short response which said a lot. (h/t Football.london)

Szoboszlai has been in brilliant form for Salzburg this season. The Hungarian international has produced a tally of 8 goals and 10 assists in just 20 matches across all competitions in 2020/21. (h/t Transfermarkt)

Signing him would have been a huge coup for Tottenham. However, Leipzig could now land the 20-year-old. The Bundesliga outfit is the sister club of Salzburg from where they have signed a number of players in the past such as Dayot Upamecano, Marcel Sabitzer, Hee Chan-Hwang among others.
And, it won’t come as a surprise if Szoboszlai also follows the same path come next month.
