Simon Jordan claims English press has agenda against Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho
As reported by Football.london, former Crystal Palace owner and talkSPORT pundit Simon Jordan has hit out against the English media for having an agenda against Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho.
Jordan’s statements come in the aftermath of Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield earlier this week. During the game, the Reds’ manager Jurgen Klopp was an animated figure on the touchline, shouting at the referee and the fourth official. But there was no action taken against the German for his antics.
After the game, Mourinho pointed out that if it were him behaving that way on the sidelines, things would have been different. And backing the Portuguese’s claims Jordan has claimed that the Spurs boss is indeed treated differently by the media in England. (h/t Football.london)
“I do think there’s an agenda. Why? Because Jose Mourinho had the audacity to say, ‘I’m the Special One’, and then prove it!”
The ex-Crystal Palace owner further added that had Mourinho been animated like Klopp on the touchline, the media would’ve been all over the Portuguese. (h/t Football.london)
“If Mourinho was jumping up and down on the touchline doing the histrionics that Klopp was, the media would be going bang, look at Mourinho. But Klopp? Because he’s got a $64million smile and everyone likes him, he gets away with it.”

Jordan further went on lavish praise on Mourinho and his honest and upfront character.
The bias against Mourinho from officials/media is not something that is new. There have been many instances when Klopp or Pep Guardiola have been treated differently to our manager in the past.
