Danny Rose arrested in the early hours of Thursday for dangerous driving
According to a report from Sky Sports, out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur defender Danny Rose was arrested by the police for ‘dangerous driving’ after a high-speed car crash in the early hours of Thursday.
The 30-year-old was arrested for dangerous driving after his car collided with the central reservation of the A45 in Northampton. He is believed to have escaped unhurt, though his vehicle was severely damaged.
Police arrived at the scene and Rose was subjected to a breathalyser test. The result came out negative but he was arrested and taken to a Northamptonshire police station for further questioning. He was subjected to a medical examination before being quizzed by officers.
“We can confirm a 30-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving on the A45 in Northampton shortly after 4am today. The suspect is currently being held at a police station in the county,” a spokesperson for for Northamptonshire Police had said.
It is now being claimed that the Tottenham star has been released from custody, but continues to be under investigation.

Rose has been frozen out of the first-team picture at Tottenham for a year now, having fallen out of favour under Jose Mourinho soon after his arrival at the club.
The 30-year-old spent the second half of last season out on loan at Newcastle United. Upon returning to Tottenham was omitted from the Premier League and Europa League squads for this season.
Rose’s contract with Tottenham expires at the end of the ongoing campaingn.
