In 2017, the 28-year-old moved to Tottenham Hotspur. Aurier’s contract with Tottenham runs out in the summer of 2022. And the Ivorian has opened the doors to a potential return to Paris in the near future, insisting that it is the club closest to his heart.
“It’s the club I’ve loved the most out of all the clubs I’ve played for. Paris is where I turned into a man, as a professional, where I discovered myself more. One day, it would be no problem at all to go back, with pleasure. I will never turn down an offer from Paris, that is absolutely certain.”
Aurier hasn’t always had it easy during his time at Tottenham. The Ivorian has developed the reputation of making mistakes at crucial junctures. However, he has improved significantly this term and is happy with the progress he has made.
“I work all the time, I’m a hard worker.I’m maybe having my best start to the season of my career, so I’m happy with what’s happening.”
