Tottenham have made a player-plus-cash offer for Marcel Sabitzer
According to Turkish journalist Ekrem Konur, as relayed by Football.london, Tottenham Hotspur have already begun negotiations with RB Leipzig over a January move for Marcel Sabitzer.
The 26-year-old has grown into one of the top central midfielders in Bundesliga in recent years. He was an integral member of the team that made it to the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League last season.
However, with Sabitzer entering the final eighteen months of his contract, speculations over his future have increased, with Tottenham said to be interested in signing him up.
Now, Konur is claiming that Tottenham have already initiated talks to sign the 26-year-old in the upcoming January transfer window. He further claims that the club has tabled an offer for the Austrian international, which is of the player-plus-cash nature. However, it is not mentioned as to which player has been offered to Leipzig. (h/t Football.london)
A versatile operator who can play as a box-to-box midfielder as well as on the right flank, Sabitzer would bolster our ranks a great deal. Capable of contributing with goals and assists in equal measure, he would also alleviate the burden from the shoulders of our chief sources of goals in Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

Sabitzer, so far in the 2020/21 campaign, has already racked up three goals and three assists each in 16 appearances across all competitions. At 26, the Austrian international has his best years ahead of him. And if we are able to snap him up in the January window, it will be nothing short of a coup.
