Tottenham will listen to offers for Danny Rose and Paulo Gazzaniga
According to the Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur are willing to listen to offers for out-of-favour duo Danny Rose and Paulo Gazzaniga in the January transfer window.
Danny Rose has been at Tottenham since 2007, having joined from Leeds United. Having grown into one of the best full-backs in the Premier League under Mauricio Pochettino, the Englishman has been on the decline over the past couple of seasons.
During the last campaign, Rose fell out of favour with Jose Mourinho and spent the second half of the season on loan at Newcastle United. Back at Tottenham in the summer, the England international was left out of the club’s Premier League and the UEFA Europa League squads. The left-back has been forced to train with the reserves.
Having failed to secure a transfer in the summer, Rose could finally get the chance to end his Tottenham nightmare this month, with the club willing to listen to offers for him. Given that he is in the final year of his contract, it makes sense for the club to cash in on him now than lose him for nothing at the end of the season.
Gazzaniga also finds himself in a similar boat as Rose, having not been selected in the club’s Europa League squad. The Argentine, who has been at the club since 2017, when he joined from Southampton, hasn’t played a single minute of first-team football, with Joe Hart becoming the second-choice goalkeeper behind Hugo Lloris.
