Pochettino eyeing Dele Alli reunion at PSG

PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino responds to Dele Alli rumours

According to Football.london, Mauricio Pochettino has addressed speculations linking Tottenham Hotspur midfield star Dele Alli with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.

Pochettino was named the manager of PSG earlier this month. It is the Argentine’s first job since being sacked by Tottenham in November 2019. His appointment has led to speculations that he is plotting a raid on Spurs for the signing of Dele Alli.

The 24-year-old has found game-time hard to come by under Jose Mourinho and finds himself on the periphery of the first-team at Tottenham. The midfielder seemed to be getting some valuable minutes during the festive period. But, the pair’s bust-up on the touchline during the Carabao Cup clash against Stoke City has only fueled speculations.

Dele Alli could leave Tottenham in January

PSG, who have been tailing Alli since the summer, have once again been linked with a move for the 24-year-old. And Pochettino, when quizzed about those rumours, didn’t deny it.

“I think now it’s time for us to be focused 200% on Paris Saint-Germain. And of course the situation like you are asking me, to be honest, we are not talking about that, because we haven’t had time since the second of January when we came to Paris.”

“There are a lot of things that we have done but I think we will have time to talk (about transfers) in the future. Like I said before, this is one of my first press conferences and, for sure, we are going to have time. But any big player in the world, I think, in Paris Saint-Germain, always is welcome.”
