Tottenham and Inter Milan in talks for Croatian international Ivan Perisic
According to Foot Mercato (h/t Daily Star), Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Inter Milan to sign dynamic winger Ivan Perisic on a loan until the end of the season.
The 31-year-old is an experienced star who spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich. He scored a number of important goals as the Bavarian giants won the treble.
A versatile attacker capable of playing a variety of attacking roles, he will give Jose Mourinho a number of options in the attack. The Spurs boss is well aware of the player, having pursued him during his time at Manchester United.
Despite his success in Germany, Perisic has failed to endear himself to Antonio Conte. He has made 21 appearances so far this season, of which just 11 came as starts. During this time, he scored two goals and assisted three more. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Mourinho remains a fan of the player and is keen on pursuing a short-term deal. With Harry Kane and Son Heung-Min shouldering the burden of scoring, bringing in Pulisic will give Mourinho an added option in the attack.
The North London club are currently locked in talks with Inter over a loan. However, they could face competition from other suitors.
Bringing in the 31-year-old on loan is a prudent choice given the positives. He is an experienced campaigner who can produce from the off. Also, with finances at a premium, Daniel Levy can get himself a world-class player for a token loan fee and wages.

Spurs have shown much promise this season. However, a major Achilles heel remains the over-dependence on Kane and Son to score the goals. A couple of shrewd moves in January could ensure the club end their trophy drought this summer.
