Dele Alli pushing for Tottenham January exit as PSG lurk
According to reputed journalist and transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli is pushing hard to secure an exit this month as PSG wait in the wings.
The 24-year-old has found himself out of favour at Tottenham Hotspur this season. Manager Jose Mourinho has used the England international sparingly over the course of the campaign.
The lack of game-time has sparked a flurry of speculations over his future at the club, with PSG keen on snapping him up. Les Parisiens recently appointed former Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino as their new manager. And Romano has claimed that the Argentine is keen on reuniting with Alli at Parc des Princes.
It was Poch who brought in Alli to Tottenham back in 2015. Under his tutelage, the former MK Dons starlet grew into a bonafide star and one of the best attacking midfielders in the Premier League. So, it does not come as a surprise that Alli is also pushing for a move to France as he has his sights set on a reunion with Pochettino.
However, Tottenham are not convinced about letting the move go through, leading to delays in progress on the transfer front.
PSG will push again this week to sign Dele Alli – the player wants to leave as soon as possible. It’s up to Tottenham and Daniel Levy. 👀🏴 #THFC #PSG https://t.co/ufdHfTb5Qt
