Tottenham unlikely to sign Kim Min-jae in the January window
According to Football.london, Tottenham Hotspur are unlikely to make a move for South Korean defender Kim Min-jae in the winter transfer window.
The 24-year-old South Korean international plies his trade for Chinese Super League outfit Beijing Sinobo Guoan. The defender was linked with a switch to Tottenham in the summer. But a move never materialised.
However, reports earlier this month claimed that Tottenham were plotting a move for Kim this month, amid strong interest from our local rivals Chelsea.
But, as per Football.london, talks of a potential move for the South Korean international in the ongoing transfer window are ‘wide of the mark’.
Tottenham strengthened the defence in the summer with the signing of Joe Rodon from Swansea City. The Welshman has been eased into action by Jose Mourinho, with Sunday’s game against Sheffield United being just his second Premier League start of the season.
However, Mourinho is said to be looking to sign a new centre-back in January, as he looks to ready the team to compete on all four fronts.

But, a move for Kim Min-jae seems a tad unlikely. A towering defender, the 24-year-old has been with Beijing Guoan since January 2019 and has impressed. However, given his lack of experience at the highest level, a move for him would have been risky.
Tottenham have also been heavily linked with a move for Real Madrid ace Eder Militao. However, it remains to be seen if there is any move made for a defender before the transfer window shuts in a couple of weeks time.
