Joe Hart vows Tottenham will keep pushing to win Premier League title

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Joe Hart has vowed that the team will keep pushing to lift the Premier League title in the ongoing season.

After a strong start to the campaign, Tottenham were briefly seated at the top of the Premier League standings. However, a poor run of results towards the end of the last year saw the club slide down the table.

But, Jose Mourinho & co. have been on a resurgent run of late, although we are still sixth in the table, eight points off of leaders Manchester City.

A win against reigning champions Liverpool on Thursday should take Tottenham back into the top four though. And Hart, speaking ahead of the game, has insisted that the team will continue to do everything in their powers to win the league title.

“We are in a good position in the league and in all three cups so we’ll keep pushing. We’re doing the hard graft, that’s what really counts, more than talking about it and that’s what should get us the success.

“We’ve got to go game by game and we’re looking to win every game we go into and we’re in a good place with that mentality.”

Hart also went on to hail the winning mentality that manager Mourinho has helped instil within the squad. The former Manchester City goalkeeper, who arrived at Tottenham on a free transfer last summer, also went on to praise teammate Gareth Bale, claiming his winning experience is a huge influence on the team.

Tottenham have already made it to the Carabao Cup final and are in the fifth round of the FA Cup and the knockout stages of the UEFA Europa League as well. Given how the Premier League season has been going, a tilt at the title can still be very much a possibility if we string together a good run of results.
