Dele Alli sat out of team training on two days amid PSG speculations
According to The Telegraph (subscription required), Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has sat out of training in the last two days as talks of a loan move to PSG continue to intensify.
The 24-year-old midfielder has been out of favour under Jose Mourinho throughout the campaign, playing sparingly here and there. His involvement in the Premier League has been very minimal, leading to speculations of an exit from the club in the ongoing transfer window.
Paris Saint-Germain have been hot on the trails of the former MK Dons man, having had three bids rejected in the summer. But, the French Ligue 1 champions remain hopeful of signing him up on loan before the winter transfer period slams shut in a few days. (h/t The Athletic)
Now, it is claimed that Alli has not trained with the team for two days, as talks of exit gain momentum. The 24-year-old was absent from the matchday squad for the trip to Wycombe Wanderers in the FA Cup fourth round on Monday night.
Manager Mourinho claimed that Alli was carrying a knock. But it is now being said that the midfielder hasn’t been training as talks with a move to PSG intensify. (h/t The Telegraph)
This is in line with what Fabrizio Romano revealed on Tuesday, claiming that both parties were in advanced negotiations over a move.
