Easier to face Tottenham without Harry Kane admits Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel

According to Football.london, Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has admitted that it is easier to face Tottenham without Harry Kane taking the field.

Chelsea travel to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium later tonight as Tuchel takes charge of his first-ever London Derby. It is a pivotal encounter for both teams in the race for the top four, but Tottenham will have to make do without star man Kane once again.

The 27-year-old Kane picked up ankle injuries in the loss to Liverpool last week. This saw him miss the game against Brighton and without him on the field, the team looked disjointed and lacking of ideas in the final third.

And, Tuchel has now admitted that it is much easier for any team to face Tottenham if Kane is not available for selection, while also hailing him as one of the best strikers in the world.

“I would say it’s always easier if Harry Kane is not playing, that is a given. Harry Kane is one of the best number nines in the world, a role model number nine that every coach and team wishes for. We assume at the moment he will not play but we will assume everything.”

Kane, undoubtedly, has been one of our best players this season. The England captain has plundered goals for fun and has also brought out his creative side, often acting as the playmaker in the final third.

His partnership with Son Heung-min was key for our early success this season. Without him, it is now important for the rest of the attacking unit to put their hands up and make a difference for the team.
