Tottenham make a decision on future of Real Madrid loanee Gareth Bale
According to Spanish publication OK Diario (h/t Express), Tottenham Hotspur have already made a decision on the future of on-loan Real Madrid superstar Gareth Bale.
The 31-year-old Welsh wing-wizard returned to Tottenham for a second stint last summer, seven years after he had left the club for Real Madrid. However, the return has hardly gone according to plans for Bale as he has struggled for form and fitness in his time in London.
Bale has featured just 15 times across all competitions so far this term, starting just two games in the Premier League. He has managed an ordinary return of four goals. (h/t Transfermarkt)
The 31-year-old has had problems with fitness ever since he returned to the club. Indeed, fans had to wait for a month after his signing to see Bale make his second debut. And over the course of the campaign, he has continued to be plagued by knocks and niggles.
This has meant that he hasn’t been able to make himself a reliable option for manager Jose Mourinho to count upon. The Welshman’s performance against Brighton last weekend, when he started in the absence of Harry Kane showed that he is nowhere near the level that was expected of him.
And while there are still a few months left on his current loan deal, Tottenham have already decided on what they plan to do with him at the end of the season. As per the report, the Lilywhites have no intentions of bringing the Welshman on board on a permanent basis and have already informed Real Madrid of their decision.

So, it seems like Bale will be returning to Real Madrid when the season ends. However, with the Spanish giants also not keen on keeping him at the club, his future is surrounded by uncertainty. The report does add that MLS outfit Inter Miami could look to sign the 31-year-old.
