Tottenham Hotspur fans react after 2-0 win over West Brom
Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways in the Premier League as they defeated relegation battlers West Brom 2-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Heading into the game on the back of three consecutive defeats against Liverpool, Brighton & Hove Albion and Chelsea, Jose Mourinho & co. were under the pump to turn things around.
And they were handed a surprise boost as star striker Harry Kane made a swift return from injury and was part of the starting XI. The England captain, after having missed some chances in the first period, opened the scoring with a composed strike early in the second period.

His partner-in-crime, Son Heung-min then made it 2-0 not long after as Tottenham cruised to a comfortable victory. While it was only against a club that is staring at the prospect of relegation, the performance was a major improvement on those in recent games.
The win also sees us reduce the gap to fourth-placed Liverpool to four points. It was an important victory given the context of the top-four race. And the players stepped and delivered, showing what they are capable of. And fans were naturally pleased with the win and took to social media to celebrate.
Well that’s a start. Shows what we are capable of. Our defence is awful though but keep up the attacking intent that was a great watch today.

Don’t let Harry Kane leave Spurs…. ever. pic.twitter.com/oAaGA05O93

So much better.
I thought Lamela was excellent and added so much more creativity and bite.
Obviously Kane being back makes a HUGE difference!— It all seems a bit trivial now 💙 (@MattyFrench82) February 7, 2021
Play like this every game, not just vs the team with the worst defence in the league

A lot better today, More direct with one two touch football. We actually wanted to drive forward with the ball compared to the last couple games we looked clueless when receiving the ball. Also big performances from Lucas and Lamela. Well done boys! 👏

Great performance that we all knew we could play like

Much better by the boys 👏🏽
Lamela was fantastic. About time too he owed for his 7yr sicknote.
Just wish Dane Scarlett had a few more minutes.

Happy to win the 3 points and a clean sheet keep it up lads COYS. We played with purpose and intent. However we need to convert more of our chances, that’s how we can get a streak of wins

So much better. Not going to get carried away. We’ll learn a lot more in the next two games that’s for sure. Fingers crossed we’ll have a go at Goodison Park. 🤞🏼 #COYS
