Joe Rodon outlines plans to improve and get better at Tottenham Hotspur
According to Football.london, Joe Rodon has revealed how he plans to improve himself and get better to earn a regular place in the Tottenham Hotspur lineup.
The Welsh centre-back joined Tottenham from EFL Championship club Swansea City and has not had it easy to make up the step up to Premier League football.
He hasn’t been a regular under Jose Mourinho, and the defender admits that it is understandable, as he continues to adapt to life in the top-flight.
“Obviously coming up from the Championship to a top club in the Premier League is difficult but it’s a move that is always going to make me better and more competitive so, at the moment, I’m just trying to adapt more and more to this level by working in training every day.”
Rodon insisted that it always helps to be surrounded by top players like the ones at Tottenham, while he also stressed that he may have made mistakes, but he learns from those to improve himself.
“The opportunity to play with the top players at the club of course is only going to make me better but I also know there’s always going to be down time – that’s just football.
If I didn’t make mistakes, I don’t think I’d ever learn. Obviously, I don’t want to make them but that is just the way football and life is in general. I may make more but I will learn from them. I just need to keep working hard to improve and see where that takes me.”
