According to the Birmingham Mail, Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish was mighty impressed with Tottenham Hotspur ace Son Heung-Min who ran the show in our FA Cup clash against Everton.

The South Korean ace made two assists on the night but could not do enough to prevent us from falling to a 5-4 defeat. With 26 goal contributions in 31 appearances, the 28-year-old is enjoying an excellent season. (h/t Transfermarkt)

Grealish was one of the neutrals caught up in the drama of what was an exciting cup clash that had everyone on the edge. The Villa man was impressed with the way Son linked up with English skipper Harry Kane and took to social media to make his point.

Grealish took to Instagram and posted a story that went on to call Son’s crosses as an absolute scandal.

The pair linked up for Kane’s 83rd-minute strike that sent the game to extra-time. However, that was as good as it got for us as Bernard won the game for Everton in extra time.

It is not the first time that Son and Kane have combined to great effect this season. Both players lead Tottenham’s scoring charts with a combined 32 goals and 23 assists.  This accounts respectively for 46% and 51% of our overall tally this season. (h/t BBC)

One of the best midfielders in the league, Grealish could have been playing for Tottenham had Daniel Levy shown more foresight. The Spurs chairman refused to pay Villa’s asking price when they were still in the Championship.
