Son Heung-min issues warning to Tottenham teammates amid PL struggles
According to the Mirror, Tottenham Hotspur superstar Son Heung-min has warned his teammates that there can be no excuses for their alarming drop in form in the Premier League.
After a brilliant start to the season, Tottenham had gone to the top of the standings in early December. However, since then, there has been a steep decline in form, resulting in the club falling out of the top six, well an truly out of the race for the Premier League title.
Son has now called upon his teammates to step it up a notch while insisting that there should be no excuses for the dip in form over the past month and a half.
“It doesn’t feel the same as previous seasons, especially without fans. But it can’t be an excuse. It has been a strange season but we have to do better and we know we can do better. When you lose some points and even when you play well and lose a point it always feels so, so sad.
“We have had a couple of bad results but we just need to focus on the coming games. It’s all about our responsibility because we have to carry on positively. We had a good time at the start of the season until maybe a few weeks ago.”
The South Korean international went on to add that it was important for the team to stay positive and together through this period if they are to turn things around.
