Jose Mourinho told to give Tottenham star Gareth Bale more minutes

According to football.london, BBC pundit and former Manchester United striker Dion Dublin has told Jose Mourinho to give Gareth Bale more minutes after Tottenham lost to West Ham.

The 31-year-old has struggled for fitness since returning to Tottenham last summer. Of late, the Welshman has been in good form though but hasn’t bee used all too regularly by Mourinho.

Indeed, Bale was very impressive in the game against Wolfsberger last week. But, following his eye-catching display, Mourinho opted not to start the winger against West Ham United.

Instead, Bale was benched but when he came on from the bench, the Real Madrid loanee was the most impressive player on the pitch and almost managed to salvage something from the game for Tottenham.

Mourinho, explaining his omission had said that Bale wasn’t in a physical condition to start two games in three days. And Dublin has insisted that the only way the Welshman can achieve that level of fitness is if he is playing on a regular basis.

“When he came on, he was very positive. The quality that Gareth Bale has, we know, it’s when is he going to bring it out? Every time he got it, he looked forward, he tried to get Spurs on the front foot, he tried to look for a pass.I think if you can get Gareth Bale minutes on the pitch then he can make a difference.”

After a dull start to life at the club, Bale has shown signs of his best in the last couple of matches. Hopefully, he is able to build upon these encouraging displays.
