PSG want Tottenham ace Harry Kane if Kylian Mbappe leaves

According to the Mirror, reigning French champions PSG have identified Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane as their top target in case Kylian Mbappe leaves the club.

The 27-year-old is one of the best strikers in the game currently and has plundered over 200 goals for Tottenham already. With the England captain enjoying his theoretical peak years in football, PSG have now made him their top transfer target for the summer.

That will be in case their own prolific forward, Kylian Mbappe makes an exit in the summer window. The Frenchman will be entering the final year of his contract with Les Parisiens and has refused to commit his future to the club up until now.

La Liga champions Real Madrid are known long-term admirers of the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner and could launch a move in the upcoming window. In addition, the speculations surrounding Neymar and a potential return to Barcelona never die down either. (h/t Mirror)

And in the eventuality that either of Mbappe or Neymar leave this summer, PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino wants Kane to fill the hole. It is no secret that Pochettino and Kane share a good relationship. After all it was under the Argentine that the striker flourished at Tottenham.

Indeed, the pair are said to be in regular contact even after Poch was relieved of his duties as Tottenham manager in November 2019. And, having taken over at PSG, he is now eyeing a potential reunion, subject to the departure of Mbappe or Neymar.
