Jose Mourinho drops hint over starting lineup for Tottenham vs Wolfsberger AC
According to journalist Jonathan Veal on Twitter, Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho has dropped a hint on his starting lineup for the game against Wolfsberger.
Tottenham take on the Austrian outfit in the second leg of the Round of 32 UEFA Europa League contest on Tuesday night at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The first leg was a positive one for Jose Mourinho & co. as the club won 4-1 in the away leg.
With a foot already through the doors for the next round, one could expect the manager to field a rotated side and give some of the non-regulars a chance. However, the Portuguese tactician has hinted that he will be fielding a strong side when the Austrian outfit come visiting.
“The approach is very similar to the first leg. We go with a strong side, we go with a bench with players that can help turn the direction of a game if we need. Our starting line-up is very similar to the one in Hungary.”
Gareth Bale stole the show the last time the two teams met. The Welshman did not start at the weekend as Tottenham lost 2-1 in the Premier League. But, the on-loan Real Madrid winger could get another chance to make an impression on Wednesday.
