Tottenham fans in awe as Gareth Bale unleashes brilliance against Burnley
Gareth Bale was the star of the show as Tottenham Hotspur thrashed Burnley 4-0 at home to end their recent poor run of form in the Premier League.
It just took 68 seconds for Tottenham to take the lead with Bale poking home Son’s cross from close-range. Harry Kane then made it 2-0 in the 15th minute with a deflected effort before Lucas Moura scored the third at the half-hour mark to put the result beyond doubt well before half-time.
Early in the second half, Bale heaped more misery on the visitors, curling home a lovely effort after a great touch to make it 4-0. Tottenham had a few more chances to add more to the scoreline but Son, Kane both missed chances late on.
It was a brilliant performance from the team, with Davinson Sanchez also excelling at the back while the attacking quartet of Bale, Son, Moura and Kane impressed as well. But, it was Bale’s display that stole the show, as he continued his recent resurgent run.
