Tottenham working on new contracts for Harry Kane and Son Heung-min

According to Italian journalist Nicolo Schira on Twitter, Tottenham Hotspur are working behind the scenes to extend the contracts of key stars Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

Kane, a product of the Tottenham Hotspur youth academy, is on his way to becoming the club’s all-time leading goalscorer. The 27-year-old has been in prolific form this season, plundering 22 goals and 14 assists across all competitions.

Son, meanwhile, is enjoying one of his finest seasons in Tottenham colours since arriving at the club in the summer of 2015. The South Korean international made a blistering start to the campaign and even though he endured a bit of a lean patch of late, against Burnley, he showed his class setting up two goals.

In total, the 28-year-old produced a highly impressive return of 18 goals and 15 assists from 37 matches in all competitions.

Kane is contracted with Tottenham till the summer of 2024. Son, on the other hand, is tied down with the club till the end of the 2022/23 campaign.

And now, Schira has claimed that the Lilywhites are working to extend their stays at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium till the summer of 2025. The Italian journo further adds that Spurs are looking to include an option of an additional twelve months in the new deal that is being worked upon.

But seemingly things have changed over the past few weeks, with Spurs now working on new deals for the pair. The new deals are well-deserved for both Kane and Son who have been the driving force of Jose Mourinho’s team for the majority of this season.
