Fans react as Tottenham Hotspur beat Fulham 1-0 at Craven Cottage
Tottenham Hotspur made it three wins in three games in all competitions as they secured a narrow 1-0 win over relegation battlers and fellow London outfit Fulham at Craven Cottage on Thursday.
Jose Mourinho fielded a strong side following his team’s 4-0 win over Burnley last weekend. However, the performance was lacklustre, to say the least. Tottenham made a bright start and were off the mark twenty minutes in as Son Heung-min and Dele Alli combined to force an own goal from Tosin Adarabioyo.
However, there was little in terms of attacking output from that point onwards with Alphonse Areola hardly being tested. In fact, it was Fulham who looked dangerous in attack and even managed to equalise through Josh Maja in the second half only for the goal to be chalked off by VAR for a dubious handball decision.
𝗙𝗨𝗟𝗟-𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 ⏱ A first-half Fulham own goal is enough to hand us the win at Craven Cottage 💪

The hosts continued to press in search for the equalising goal with Tottenham dropping deep in the attempt to protect the narrow lead, in which they succeeded. The win sees Spurs now move to within four points of Everton in the fourth place.
While that is a good sign, the performance left a lot to be desired and here’s how the fans reacted to the display.

Massive let off against sub par opponents. We really really need a proper demanding cb and new full backs. Awful. But 3 points

2nd half was horrible to watch, we were terrible. Ndombele and Holjberg not at their best and we had little control in the middle.

That was so painful to watch

A win is a win, but should have been so much easier. Poor 2nd half. Over the 2 matches this season, Fulham have looked a better footballing side
